Bay resolved to venture out and observe for herself.

She realized that her dark magic remained formidable, and should Arthur and the goblin leader find themselves in a stalemate.

She could lend her assistance.

In truth, Bayou was unable to contain her curiosity, a battle between the undead and goblins was unfolding, and she had no desire to miss out on the chaos.

What to wear? Bayou stood before her wardrobe, rummaging through her clothes with indecision.

Since she was setting out to eradicate goblins and engage in combat, she ought to dress appropriately, certainly not in a frilly dress.

She selected a crisp white shirt, dawning it with remarkable speed and tied a black bow at the collar.

Sitting on the edge of her bed, she skillfully gathered her black stockings and slipped her petite feet into them, pulling them up to her thighs with ease.

Bayou had grown increasingly adept at this as practice breeds proficiency.

However, for reasons unbeknownst to her, her hands disobeyed her mind's commands, and she ultimately chose a blue and white plaid pleated skirt.

Well, it was all right.

After all, she would merely play the role of a mage from the rear.

With her hair secured into a high ponytail with a small elastic band, she was ready for her adventure.

Bayou stepped out of the castle, pushing open the grand doors, just in time to see a skeletal soldier hauling wood into the courtyard.

You relay to all the undead outside to gather at the castle gates.

The skeletal soldier paused, puzzled by by you's command before departing the castle.

The message spread rapidly, 1 to 10, 10 to 100, and 100 to a thousand.

Within 20 minutes, all the undead had assembled before the castle gates.

They stood in disarray, not quite comprehending what Bayou meant by gather.

According to Little Green Bean, the goblin tribe resided in a cave beyond the marsh to the south of Bayou<unk>'s castle.

As long as they ventured south out of their territory to find a marsh, they would be close to the goblin settlement.

Arthur returned gracefully, landing outside the castle.

Arr, do you recall the location where you captured that goblin last time? Bayou inquired, tilting her head to gaze at him.

Indeed, my esteemed queen, Arthur replied.

Excellent.

You shall lead the undead to that place and help us locate the goblin tribe.

Then we shall deal with them decisively.

Bayou exclaimed, her enthusiasm palpable.

For the sake of convenience, she braced herself for the bumpy journey ahead.

Bayou instructed Arthur to lower his head and with a clumsy effort, she climbed onto his back, settling upon his spine.

Ouch.

The discomfort was palpable.

Wearing a skirt, she found the hem riding uncomfortably high, nearly exposing her black shorts.

This was quite the predicament.

Recalling that girls typically sit sideways, Bayou struggled to adjust her position on Arthur's back.

With an unfortunate rip, her black stockings were torn by Arthur's spine.

Bayou sighed, accepting her fate.

After considerable effort, she finally managed to position herself sideways.

Her legs draped to one side, perched upon Arthur's back.

It is indeed much better now, although Bayou does not have a fear of heights.

Gazing down from a height of five or 6 m still sends a shiver of unease through her.

"Let Esco go," Bayou exclaimed, seated upon Arthur's back.

One hand clutched tightly around Arthur's spine, while her other hand formed a tiny fist that she raised triumphantly, shouting out loud, "Whoosh!" Arthur spread his wings, stirring a tempest on the ground as he ascended into the sky.

Oh, Bayou gasped in surprise, nearly losing her grip as the wind buffeted her, her little heart racing wildly as she watched the castle diminish in her view.

The spectral figures at its entrance appeared as minute as ants.

Below the castle, gargoyless and phantoms took flight with the phantoms floating gracefully while the gargoyless and skeletal griffins soared through the air.

The other undead could only run along the ground with the undead knights and skeletal weirwolves being the swiftest while the skeletal soldiers lagged behind.

Arthur carried Bayu aloft, flying a modest altitude to ensure that the undead below would not lag too far behind.

Wow.

Bayou felt like a child discovering a new world overflowing with joy.

This was her first venture so far from the castle.

From her lofty perch, she absorbed the entirety of the landscape surrounding her castle.

If it weren't for the distant fog, she felt she could almost see the Lord residing nearby.

Though she had ascended and her perspective broadened, the fog still obscured her view, likely a protective measure from the system for the lords, explaining the persistent heavy mist each day.

Aside from the indescribable exhilaration of flying, Bayou found little to criticize.

After flying for a stretch, Arthur would occasionally circle back, waiting for the straggling undead below.

Thus, Bayou endured nearly an hour at top Arthur Esbback.

They hadn't traveled far, most of the time was spent waiting for the other undead.

At last, illuminated by the moonlight, Bayou spotted a vast expanse of marshland nearby.

The gray mud and black earth created a subtle boundary, and the marsh was larger than she had envisioned, seemingly surpassing the size of her own castle s territory.

The marsh was dotted with numerous stout trees, their trunks devoid of any greenery, contributing to the eerie atmosphere of the expansive area.

This is troublesome.

Crossing such a vast marsh will be arduous for the skeletons.

Bayou pondered, "If we detour, it would surely waste at least an hour.

And by then, Dawn may approach, causing the double drop to vanish at any moment.

She felt she had miscalculated and should have scouted ahead.

However, she reasoned that it shouldn't pose a significant issue.

The undead possessed boundless stamina, and while their movement might be sluggish in the marsh, they should not become ins snared.

Arthur, continue flying forward.

Bayou instructed, urging Arthur to scout ahead for the precise location of the goblin tribe to facilitate their forthcoming actions.

Arthur, fly higher and be cautious not to be detected.

Arthur ascended, soaring into the lofty heights, flanked by swiftly retreating black clouds that obscured all visibility.

Under Arthur's vigorous flight, it took less than 3 minutes to exit the swamp, and he continued onward for another 2 minutes.

Your Majesty, it appears that Arthur has spotted the cave you mentioned, surrounded by a group of goblins on guard.

Naturally, Arthur's vision far surpassed that of Bayou, who struggled against the wind, nearly unable to open her eyes, let alone spare a moment to observe the situation below.

Well done, Arthur.

Remember this location, we shall return to gather the others and launch an assault on their layer.

Based on Arthur's flying speed, Bayou estimated that the undead would require approximately 40 minutes to traverse the swamp, which though wide, was not excessively long.

Chapter 36.

the suit swiftly.

Arthur returned with Bayou as the undead began to traverse the marshlands.

Arthur soared through the skies with Bayou, keenly observing the surroundings.

The eradication of the goblins relied heavily on the bone beasts and werewolves.

Alas, the bone beasts could not fly, leaving them to await the crossing of the marsh.

Below, a skeletal soldier ventured ahead, inadvertently stepping on a branch.

Suddenly, the ground trembled and the surrounding branches writhed violently as a colossal tree monster emerged from the murky depths.

Its limbs formed of robust darkwood.

The size of this creature dwarfed all undead, save for Arthur himself, disturbed by the skeleton, the tree monster raised its massive claw and struck down upon the skeletal soldier, shattering its form and scattering bones in all directions.

What on earth is this creature? Flying low, Bayou observed the scene with clarity.

The skeletons were hindered by the terrain, moving sluggishly, whereas the tree monster appeared unimpeded by the marsh's constraints.

The tree monster launched an aggressive assault on the intruders, swiftly dismantling several undead bodies that began to reform.

Clearly, this was a highle creature.

Bayou attempted to gather information on this entity, only to find it was beyond the castle's domain, rendering her abilities useless.

No matter, she resolved to strike first.

She could not allow this beast to thwart her quest for vengeance, for her loyalty to her kin was unwavering.

Arthur, eliminate it.

Upon receiving Bayou's command, Arthur dubbed out slowly, slowly, Bayou thought as each grand movement caught her unawares.

Arthur unleashed a torrent of dragon fire upon the tree monster's vast form.

Given its size, it was destined to react sluggishly.

Yet the monster did not succumb entirely to the freeze.
